With the recent publication of the Business and Sustainable Development Commission’s new report ‘Better Business, Better World’, the business case for the SDGs has been comprehensively made. Through its rigorous analysis, the report points out opportunities worth at least $12 trillion from achieving the SDGs.
We will not achieve this through business as usual, but that doesn’t mean that business can’t rise to the challenge. Nothing less than a new business paradigm is needed – one that puts people and planet centre-stage alongside profit, and education will be key to accelerating this transformation.
This is why we are focused on supporting business educators, employers and learners to ensure that the business opportunities from sustainable development are realised by:
- developing a new generation of people- and planet-minded business leaders and;
- creating a collaborative innovation space for educators, students and businesses to respond to real-life sustainability challenges
