About Us

Launched in 2017 by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and its partners, One Planet Education Networks (OPEN) is a global reference brand for the mainstreaming of responsible & sustainable business education.

OPEN builds on WWF’s successful business and sustainable education partnerships over a number of years including the One Planet Leaders programme at IMD, Switzerland and the One Planet MBA at the University of Exeter, UK and from its extensive experience of collaborating with leading companies such as Apple, Bank of America, Canon, Cargill, Cisco, Google, H&M, HSBC, IKEA, Lafarge, M&S, McDonalds, Michelin, Nokia, SABMiller, Skandia, Sky, Sodexo and The Coca-Cola Company to implement responsible business practices.

These pioneering partnerships have taught us much about how to develop One Planet-minded leaders. But there is no room for complacency.

The global sustainability challenge provides unprecedented opportunities for a radical transformation of our economy and the way we think and act in practice.

Our vision is to connect, educate, transform, and mobilize change agents for sustainability.

Sustainable education is fundamental to this and will play a vital role in helping change agents and organizations to find innovative solutions to the challenges we face and in developing the next generation of leaders for sustainability.

To meet the grand scale of the environmental, social and economic challenges we face, sustainable education needs to move beyond acting as a cottage industry. The fastest way to achieve this is through partnership at scale. This means not only that we must involve many more change agents progressive educators, and practitioners around the world, but that we must find innovative new ways of delivering sustainable development education in a way that’s relevant, accessible and above all, affordable to all.

For this reason we  launched OPEN as an ambitious, entrepreneurial purpose-led venture that will work with progressive sustainable educators and change agents for sustainability around the world to make this vision a reality through collaborative innovation and partnership.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, then we’d love to hear from you.
